As a graduate student in our supportive and flexible education master’s program, you will learn how to create lesson plans aligned to New York State’s Next Generation and Common Core learning standards, as well as understand the laws that protect students.
Whether you want to become a teacher or you already have NYS teaching certification and want to advance your career, we have a certification path designed for you. Prepare for a variety of teaching careers in special education with your graduate degree from Daemen University.
You’ll use the video analysis tool, Vosaic, to reflect, gather feedback, and evaluate your teaching performance. When you enter the field, you’ll record yourself teaching. Studying these recordings will guide debrief sessions with your supervisors to help identify areas for growth and improvement.
